Jessica
Rafanan
Having
finished her term as last year's PTC president, Jessica
looks forward to serving the board in an advisory capacity.
Both her daughters attend Maidu: one is a 3rd grader,
and the other is in 1st grade. Jessica has been impressed
by the dedication of the teachers as well as the enthusiasm
of Maidu and Excelsior parents.

Carolyn
Brosnan
This is Carolyn's second year on the Maidu/Excelsior
PTC board. She served as Maidu Co-Vice President last
year and has coordinated events for PTC and served on
other parent/school boards in the past. Like the other
board members, she sees how important it is to be involved
with the schools and their children's education. She
remembers Elaine Arndt speaking at Back To School Night
a couple of years ago. Elaine said that participating
in your child's education and in PTC can show your child
how much you value their education and school. This
inspired Carolyn to participate and help as she could.
She wants to stay informed as our state and district
meet new challenges. While working with the PTC she
has enjoyed meeting new people. Their innovative ideas
help our schools, teachers, and parents.

Leigh-Ann
Reinero
This is Leigh-Ann's second year as the PTC
vice president for Excelsior and is happy to be sharing
the position this year with Tami Lynch. Realizing how
important it is to be connected with her children's
school, Leigh-Ann got her feet wet by volunteering in
the classroom and helping at many different events held
by the school. She has since enjoyed organizing movie
nights, Family Karaoke/Guitar Hero nights and the Meet
& Greet Game Night at Excelsior for all incoming
3rd graders. She has also handled the distribution of
the Wednesday folder announcements for Maidu for the
past 5 years and is looking forward to helping out at
Excelsior this year. Being involved in her children's
eduction, inside the classroom and outside the classroom,
has been very rewarding. PTC has been a great way to
get to know what is happening in and around the school
as well as given her the opportunity to have fun and
meet fabulous parents who have the same goals and desires
for their children. She looks forward to another great
school year.

Tami
Lynch
This is Tami's third year on the board and
first year as co-VP for Excelsior; she previously held
the PTC Secretary position for two years. Tami also
continues to coordinate eNews and Excelsior Picture
Days and oversee all the various PTC volunteer opportunities.
This is Tami's last year on the PTC board as her daughter
Madelyn Acklier is in 6th grade. Being part of the PTC
is important to Tami because she can be involved in
school activities without “bugging” her
daughter in the classroom, get to know the teachers
and parents and hopefully enhance her daughter’s
educational experience during the early years of her
life – plus, it’s just downright FUN FUN
FUN!

to working with the many great parents and teachers that
make up this wonderful school district.
